Pregnant Woman Attacked Over $150K Trust Fund by Sister-in-Law

Assault Over Trust Fund Leaves Twins in NICU

At eight months pregnant with twins, a woman was violently assaulted by her sister-in-law over a $150,000 trust fund intended for her unborn children. The attack left her in the hospital and her babies fighting for their lives in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

The Trust Fund That Sparked Violence

The victim, whose name remains undisclosed for privacy, was married to Ryan Brooks, a construction executive working overseas in Singapore. Before leaving, Ryan had established a protected trust fund of $150,000 for their unborn twins, Sophie and Lucas, to cover medical care, childcare, and future education.

However, Brianna Brooks, Ryan’s sister, learned about the trust through their mother, Patricia Brooks. According to the victim, Patricia had always treated her as “the temporary wife.” Brianna saw an opportunity to claim the money for herself, insisting Ryan had promised it to her for a boutique business.

Forged Documents and a Brutal Attack

One afternoon, Brianna entered the victim’s kitchen with forged withdrawal forms, demanding she sign them. The victim, a former forensic accountant, immediately recognized the fraud. When she refused, Brianna’s demeanor shifted from threatening to violent.

“You’re carrying his children,” Brianna sneered. “Don’t mistake that for owning this family.”

When the victim refused to comply, Brianna slapped her phone away before striking her in the stomach. The blow caused her water to break, sending her into premature labor. Instead of helping, Brianna dragged her across the floor, attempting to force her thumb onto a banking app to authorize the withdrawal.

A Cover-Up Exposed by Hidden Evidence

Brianna and Patricia believed they had erased all evidence. They unplugged the home security system, deleted messages, and cleaned the kitchen before calling emergency services. However, they overlooked one critical detail: the security camera above the pantry door had already uploaded encrypted footage to a remote cloud server.

The victim’s former supervisor, Olivia Parker, helped recover the recordings, which captured the entire assault. The footage showed Brianna punching the victim’s stomach, Patricia wiping blood from the floor, and both women conspiring to cover up the crime.

Bank Fraud and Legal Consequences

Investigators discovered that Brianna’s boyfriend, Ethan Carter, an assistant branch manager at the bank, had helped forge authorization documents. The fraudulent transfer was scheduled for the following Friday, but law enforcement intercepted it.....
