“Dad, I am getting married tomorrow, so I have already pulled the money from your accounts and sold the house, but please, do not make a scene about it,” Benjamin Palmer said casually, as if discussing weekend plans.

The betrayal left Colton speechless. After decades of sacrifice—working overtime, skipping vacations, and denying himself luxuries to ensure Benjamin graduated college debt-free—his son had drained nearly $400,000 from his accounts and sold his property without consent.

The Manipulation Begins

Three months earlier, Benjamin had suddenly become unusually attentive. He offered to manage his father’s finances while Colton recovered from severe bronchitis in the hospital. Trusting his son, Colton agreed.

During a Sunday dinner with Benjamin’s fiancée, Jessica, Colton noticed her scrutinizing his home’s valuables. “This property must be worth an absolute fortune in today’s market,” she remarked, calculating its worth.
