Late one quiet night, I heard a soft rustling near my window while everything outside sat in complete stillness. At that hour, even the smallest sound felt amplified. A faint worry stirred inside me, and although nothing seemed urgent, I reached for my phone, hoping someone could help me understand what I was hearing. With a bit of hesitation, I called the police.
To my surprise, the dispatcher answered with, “You already called.” For a moment, I didn’t know what to say—this was truly my first call. I gently explained that I hadn’t contacted anyone before now. There was a brief silence on the line, as if he was trying to piece together what was happening.
Then he spoke again, this time in a softer tone. He told me that just minutes earlier, another call had come from my number, reporting the exact same thing: a sound at the window and a request for assistance.
Hearing that made the room around me feel strangely still—not frightening, just quietly mysterious. It was as if life sometimes sends warnings before we consciously realize them, a reminder that intuition often knows more than we think.....
