A Mother’s Determination Against Family Fraud

Mercedes Rojas, a retired nurse from the Mexican Social Security Institute, never expected to find her daughter and granddaughter sleeping on a park bench outside Puebla’s San José parish. The sight shattered her on a cold Sunday morning.

Within weeks, the apartment was returned to Lucía. Beatriz lost her legal standing, and Adrián’s family faced tax-fraud investigations. Camila disappeared once Adrián lost the apartment and lifestyle she admired.
