For hotel employees, unpredictability is part of daily life. While most stays pass without incident, some encounters leave a lasting impression—often because they are so unexpected or unsettling. In one case, a housekeeper entered a room after checkout and noticed towels piled unusually on the floor. Upon closer inspection, the towels were covering multiple piles of human waste, with additional mess found hidden behind the shower curtain. The odor was overwhelming, and the experience left staff deeply shaken.

Another worker recalled discovering an entire pizza scattered throughout a guest room. Slices had been pressed onto furniture, smeared across the television, left in the sink, tangled in the bedding, and even stuffed inside a lampshade. There was no explanation—only confusion and a lengthy cleanup.

Front desk staff at a small guesthouse described a confrontation with a guest who complained of strange noises and property damage. She later returned carrying a live mouse, slamming it onto the counter while demanding a refund.
