One quiet afternoon, an 80-year-old man slowly rose from his chair and reached for his coat. His wife, noticing the sudden determination in his movements, asked gently, “Where are you going?”
“I’m heading to the doctor,” he replied.
Worried, she asked, “Why? Are you feeling unwell?”
“No,” he said matter-of-factly. “I’m going to ask about those new vitality pills.”
Without saying a word, his wife stood up from her rocking chair and began putting on her sweater. Surprised, he asked, “And where are you going?”
Calmly, she answered, “I’m going to the doctor too.”
Confused, he asked, “Why do you need to go?”
She looked him straight in the eyes and said dryly, “If you’re planning on bringing that old thing back into action, I’m getting a tetanus shot.”
