During an afternoon vocabulary lesson, a teacher decided to challenge her class with a fun exercise. She asked the students to think of words that end with “-tor” and describe something that eats things. The children sat up eagerly, ready to impress.
The first little boy raised his hand.
“Alligator,” he said confidently.
The teacher smiled. “Very good! That’s a big word, and yes — an alligator definitely eats things.”
Next, another boy offered his answer.
“Predator.”
“Excellent,” the teacher replied. “Another big word, and a perfect example.”
Then Little Johnny raised his hand — and the teacher felt a familiar wave of caution. Johnny’s answers were always… unpredictable.....
