We all had that one teacher, right? The one who was “older” (probably 50s, but ancient to a 16-year-old) and effortlessly confident. She knew she was beautiful, and honestly, even the class troublemakers had a crush on her.
But it was this one specific day in 6th grade that went down in school history. It’s a joke that still makes me laugh 20 years later!
The teacher was writing a massive assignment high up on the chalkboard. She was reaching as high as she could when suddenly, a giggle erupted from the back.
“Pat, what is so funny?” she asked, turning around sharply. “I just saw one of your garters!” Pat stammered. 😳
She didn’t hesitate: “Out! Get out of my classroom! I don’t want to see you for three days!”
She turned back to the board. Realizing she forgot the title, she reached even higher, stretching to the very top. Another student, Billy, practically fell out of his chair laughing.
“Billy! What now?!” “I… I saw both of your garters, ma’am!” 😱 “OUT! This time the punishment is severe! Don’t come back for three weeks!”
Now flustered and embarrassed, she turned around to grab the eraser, but it slipped from her hand and rolled under the desk. As she bent over to pick it up, there was a sudden silence… followed by the sound of a chair scraping.
Little Johnny was already halfway out the door. 🏃♂️
The teacher yelled, “And where do you think YOU’RE going, Johnny? I haven’t said a word to you!”
Johnny looked back over his shoulder and said: “Ma’am, from what I just saw, my school days are officially over!” 😂🎓💨
