You Should Place a Coin in the Freezer Before Leaving the House

If you want to go on vacation while leaving food in the freezer, you shouldn’t miss this article. Today, we’ll give you a quick tip that will enable you to assess the safety of the food you’ve kept in the freezer.

We occasionally don’t notice when the power goes out while we’re away from home. It is possible that this will cause frozen food to defrost and degrade.

If you tried this experiment, you’d never have to worry about having expired produce in your refrigerator again. One woman discovered a brilliant way for us to determine if our refrigerators are still operating at peak efficiency with just a single mug of water and a penny.

You Should Place a Coin in the Freezer Before Leaving the House

The idea was developed by Sheila Pulanco Russell, who demonstrated it with regular tap water. Your fridge can keep your food well-chilled and frozen if the penny freezes. It is a very straightforward experiment. If it doesn’t say you’d need to buy a new refrigerator to prevent food from spoiling, try this at home right now.

Sheila gives instructions in a Facebook post that immediately receives tens of thousands of comments and shares. She claims:.

“I just heard a great tip for all of you leaving the coast,” I said. The “one-cup tip” is how it is referred to. There is a cup of water in your freezer. When it is completely frozen, put a quarter on top, and store it in your freezer. This will let you know whether your food simply went bad while you were away and then refroze it, or whether it was still frozen when you got home after being evacuated.

If the quarter has defrosted completely and has reached the bottom of the cup, the food should be thrown away. If the quarter is at the top or in the middle of the cup, your food may still be okay. Additionally, it would be a great idea to always keep this in your freezer so you have a fallback option in case of a power outage.

If you’re not satisfied with your meal, just throw it away. Everyone’s safety is of utmost importance. Please SHARE this on your page.

In any case, if you’re not sure if the food is safe, throw it away. Your health will always be the most important aspect of your life.
