Taken far too soon. RIP
Juanita Lira Eguiguren, a remarkable individual who made a profound impact on health and wellness, tragically lost her battle with breast cancer at just 30 years old. Diagnosed at the tender age of 22 in 2015, Juanita fought against the disease with unwavering determination and an unyielding spirit that inspired all who knew her.
Despite her struggles, Juanita remained steadfast in her belief that hope could triumph over fear. “Hope is peace for me,” she expressed in a heartfelt message before her passing. “We might not be able to change the problems and challenges that life throws at us, but we can change how we face them and live with them.” Holding onto this little piece of hope brought comfort to Juanita throughout her journey.
Coming from a family dedicated to public service, Juanita was the daughter of the mayor of Lo Barnechea, a town in Chile. Her passing leaves a void in the community, but her loved ones find solace in the belief that she now rests in eternal peace.
Juanita’s life took an unexpected turn when she discovered she had breast cancer just before embarking on a study abroad program in Barcelona, Spain. Heartbroken, she had to cancel her plans and make drastic changes to her life. Her resilience and determination shone through as she dedicated herself to battling the illness, undergoing surgery and radiation therapy with the hope of eradicating the tumor cells within three months.
