The bull appeared to be the picture of health and vigor, seemingly a perfect addition to his breeding program. “He just wandered off and ignored the cows,” the rancher recounted. “Day after day, he didn’t even try to breed. Weeks went by, and I started to think I’d made a really bad investment.”
