Dolly Parton’s Sister Breaks Silence — “Pray for My Sissy” as Health Issues Force Vegas Show Postponements Until 2026!

Dolly Parton’s sister, Freida Parton, has asked fans worldwide to pray for the country legend as she faces ongoing health challenges. In an emotional Facebook post, Freida wrote, “Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately.” She urged fans to join her in prayer, adding, “She’s strong, she’s loved, and I know she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly.”

Dolly, 79, recently announced she would postpone her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace due to upcoming medical procedures. “I’ve been dealing with some health challenges,” she shared, adding in her trademark humor, “It must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up — though not the usual trip to my plastic surgeon.” She reassured fans that she wouldn’t return to performing until she’s at her best:

“You pay good money to see me, and I want to give you my best.”The shows are expected to be rescheduled for September 2026. Earlier this year, Dolly also missed a Dollywood appearance due to a kidney stone and infection.

This has been an especially emotional year for the singer, who lost her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Thomas Dean, in March. Fans have flooded social media with love and prayers, calling her “a national treasure.” As one fan wrote, “If prayer moves mountains, then the world’s about to move one for Dolly.”
