“A Weekend Tradition, Thanks to a Friend’s Timeless Recipe”

These Texas Roadhouse-style rolls are a delightful homemade version of the restaurant’s famous warm and slightly sweet yeast rolls. Served with a generous slather of honey cinnamon butter, they are the perfect accompaniment to any meal or a treat on their own

  1. Activate the yeast: Place the dry active yeast and warm water into a bowl or container. Stir once and let it rest for 5-10 minutes until foamy, indicating the yeast is active.
  2. Warm the milk and buttermilk: Add the milk and buttermilk to a microwave-safe container and heat until just warmed (not boiling). It’s okay if the buttermilk appears slightly separated at this point.
  3. Melt butter in milk mixture: Stir the 2 tablespoons of softened unsalted butter into the warm milk and buttermilk mixture until it is completely melted.
