The moment the boiling oil struck Daphne Sanders’ shoulder, she knew this was no accident. Her mother-in-law, Joyce, had deliberately hurled the scalding liquid at her after a coldly delivered ultimatum: “Next time, you will make sure dinner is served exactly when my son walks through that door.”

As Daphne collapsed to the kitchen floor, her husband, Samuel Sanders, stepped over her body to wipe oil from his expensive shoes—never once attempting to help. The Hospital Revelation

He controlled every bank account, screened her calls, and convinced friends she was “emotionally unstable.” Joyce moved in “temporarily,” criticizing her every move—from meals to shower times.
