After her mother passed away, a woman returned to the quiet family home to sort through decades of memories. While going through old photo albums in the attic, a loose photograph slipped out and fell to the floor. When she picked it up, she froze.
The image showed two little girls standing side by side. One was clearly her at around two years old. The other appeared slightly older—and strikingly identical. Same eyes, same face, same expression.
On the back of the photo, in her mother’s handwriting, were the words: “Anna and Lily, 1978.” She was Anna. She had never heard of a girl named Lily.
