This woman chose to offer a pretzel and a coffee to a homeless man

Certainly no one wants to be a beggar and survive on what others choose to give them. I believe that anyone who finds themselves in this predicament has had a rough life, which would be difficult for all of us to face.

Most people have a negative view of beggars and do not “scramble” to aid them; some even choose to mock them and make them feel inferior to the rest of us.

Casey Fischer is one of those persons that chooses to lend a helpful hand when given the opportunity. One day, she came across a beggar on the street who was trying to acquire some money. The man had arrived to the cafe where Casey was, but he had only collected one dollar from the customers.

After glancing at him, Casey invited him to the table where she was sitting and offered to buy him a coffee and pretzel. She reasoned that perhaps this gesture would make that man’s day better.

The two talked for a time, and Casey discovered that the man’s mother died from cancer, and he ended up living on the streets as a result of drugs, but he wants to get back on track and improve his life. He aspires to be the son his mother has always desired. After a while of talking, the woman prepared to depart. She thanked the man for telling her about his life and urged him to believe that things would improve with time.

However, the beggar, Chris, asked Casey to give him a piece of paper and a pen.

He quickly wrote something and then gave the paper back. The two said goodbye and Casey left for college, but on the way she realized that she didn’t even get to read what Chris wrote on the paper.

On that note, it read: “Thank you, lovely soul!”

Casey shared this anecdote on her social media account. She stated that Chris is a nice man, and she would like to provide him with an opportunity for a better life.
Casey said that she appreciates the man’s efforts to overcome his disease and become a regular person, but that people never take him into consideration, making it impossible for him to overcome his condition.

The article rapidly went viral because people respected Chris’s desire to transcend his current situation and become a better person.
